CornerHouse Opens Mental Health Clinic to the Community
CornerHouse is excited to announce that its mental health therapy is now open to the community. Our mental health clinic provides individual therapy in English and Spanish to children ages 4 – 15 who have experienced or witnessed abuse.
Previously, our therapy services have been available to children who have come to CornerHouse for a forensic interview. Because of the high demand for mental health services that specialize in child abuse, CornerHouse worked with funding partners to expand its services to the community regardless of whether or not they have participated in a forensic interview or other services at CornerHouse.
Our therapy services are trauma-informed, client-centered, and culturally responsive – ensuring that the unique needs of the child and family are at the center of the services provided. We offer Child-Centered Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Non-Directive & Trauma-Informed Talk Therapy and support groups. All therapy services are available in English or Spanish.
All new therapy clients will complete a diagnostic assessment to determine the best fit for services at CornerHouse as well as provide additional recommendations and referrals as needed.
Our accredited mental health clinic is contracted with major insurance providers. Clinicians work with clients to determine payment options.
To get started or learn more, fill out an inquiry form and a staff member will be in touch.
Thank you to our funding partners at the Sauer Family Foundation, the Medica Foundation, and the Minneapolis Foundation for making this expansion possible and ensuring we can serve every child who needs us.
